Ilha De Mozambique
-15.03715, 40.732401
This 3-km long island is connected by a bridge to the mainland and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a mix of Muslim and Portuguese architecture. It was the country's capital for nearly four centuries. More or less divided into two halves, the old stone town is in the north and the "reed town" is in the southern area. Both are noteworthy for their cultural traditions.
