Corso Vollenhove Flower Parade

This annual flower parade takes place on the last Saturday of August and is one of the largest parades in the Netherlands. Floats and cars are elaborately decorated with flowers, the main theme being the dahlia, but all sorts of flowers are used (including cabbage leaves). Floats often reach a height of several metres and each float will use in the region of 100,000 to 250,000 flowers as decoration.
