Hardangerfjord

60.423842, 6.621719

This scenic fjord is the second largest in Norway. It is dubbed "The Garden Fjord" for its late-spring apple and cherry blossoms and terraced fruit orchards covering fertile banks. Stunning scenery of glaciers and waterfalls attracted the first tourist cruises from London in 1875. The small town of Utne has an open-air Folk Museum and the country's oldest inn. The inn's interior is painted in the traditional manner and contains historic textiles and furnishings.
