Colca Canyon
-15.609942, -72.090046
High in the Andes Mountains where Andean condors can be seen, this is considered to be the deepest canyon in the world. The viewing site at Cruz del Condor is 1,200 metres from the base of the canyon and there are no railings! The condors fly in the morning or late afternoon. At Chivay, there are hot springs and the Toto Muerto cemetery which is built in a 90-degree cliff where the Wari Indians were buried in the fetal position. Acclimatization to the altitude may be needed.
