Nazca Lines

Set within the Nazca Desert are a collection of ancient geoglyphs (large designs or motifs that are drawn into the ground) that date back to 400 and 650 AD. The stylised figures range from spiders, monkeys, fish, hummingbirds, orcas, sharks, lizards, and human form. This area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Pascana, there is a small museum where a German mathematician lived for many years researching the meaning of The Lines and the culture of the Naztacs.
