We were travelling Two Up and rode from Cusco to Santa Mara on the bitumen and then 25km on the dirt to Santa Teresa. We camped at Santa Teresa (enjoy the hot springs while you are there ...... they are great)  and the following morning left at 0400 and rode to the Hydro electrica station, where we then walked along the railway line to Angus Caleenta (spelling) where we then bought a bus ticket and visited MP. For my wife it was great.... for me hmmmmmm the best part was the walk early in the morning aling the train tracks. I much preffered Kualup (MP's second cousin) near Chachapoyas
