Situated on the Iguazu River and on the border of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Iguazu translates as "Great Water". Tradition has it that a god wanted to marry a girl named Naipi, who then eloped with her lover in a canoe. The God was incensed and split the river in a rage causing this spectacular phenomenon.
