26.806744, 37.948204
The 8-mile site includes 111 rows of monumental tombs hewn from stone which are topped with decorated cornices. Remarkably preserved, the last was completed in 76 AD and the area is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cave drawings and 50 inscriptions of the pre- Nabataean period can be seen. Surrounding the area are unusual rock formations and mineral strata which have been formed by years of erosion and these reflect different colours in the sunlight.
