Dobsinska Ice Cave

This UNESCO World Heritage Site has domes, amazing ice formations, corridors, and halls in the ice. The Great Hall is said to have ice measuring 26.5 metres and the cave’s ice volume is estimated at 125,000 cubic metres. Thought to be approximately 250,000 years old, the air temperature drops to -3 degrees Celsius. It is considered to be one of the most important ice caves in the world. The descent to the cave entrance is a 1-km walk and the cave is open to visitors from May 15th to September 30th.
