High Tatras Mountains

These mountains are the highest point of the Carpathian Mountain Range and form the natural border between Poland and Slovakia. They are the symbol of Slovakia and are depicted on the shield of the national flag. Wildlife includes wolves, bears, foxes, and Eurasian lynx. It is a popular tourist area with ski resorts. The highest peak is Gerlachovsky Stit at 2,655 m.
