Angel Falls

Angel Falls is the world’s highest waterfall, plunging to a staggering 978 metres in depth. Set deep within the jungles of Canaima National Park, it falls into a tributary of the Rio Caroni. A flight from Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolivar is needed to reach Canamia Camp. River trips usually take place from June to December, but during the dry season of December to March there is less water. The falls are named after the pilot who first flew over them in the 1930s.
