Work a full day then flight from Vancouver to Phoenix

I was still tired from travelling so when the check came I signed my room number, and name and left. It wasn’t til later that I realised I had been eating in a different hotel…. Oops. Well, I am sure the Sheraton chain will survive. Lack of tip? Not terribly upset about that.I went in to the office early to do some prep for an 8am meeting. I then had several meetings and worked through lunch.

At around 2:30 I left work for the airport, checked in and worked for another hour til the flight left.

I was totally sleep deprived but only got a fitful bit of sleep on one of the planes and none in between planes. Oh well, on on.

I arrived at my hotel in Phoenix at around 11pm. I was starving so I went to a hotel next door for dinner. I was famished from not eating along the way so when I entered the restaurant and got no service for 10 minutes due to the closure of some basketball game on TV, I got a bit snippy and walked up for my own menu.

I guess my efforts of doing this and writing my order on a piece of paper and handing it to the waitress (you know, to be helpful, and get myself fed) was not met with the best humour as my service was less than friendly after that.

I have no idea why but I couldn’t get to sleep. I had to meet Vik at 7pm in Vegas, almost 500kms away, the following evening. After my last trip I was averse to doing long ride days, but this would be ok if I got an early start and spread the ride over the whole day.

Before that I needed to get the bike out of storage, close that contract, give Old Bobby-Sue the once over for maintenance and get out of town.

Another FULL day with little sleep.
