Mazatlan Chantique

So it turns out the hotel I was in was new and still under construction. Basically it was gorgeous, marble everywhere and a really nice pool and yes I do belive I was the only person there, lol. Very nice.
Friday was spent running some errands, laundry etc and I created this blog. It was sunny and nice but I was tired and didn't mind getting this set up as per alot of people's recommendations. It should allow the insertion of pictures and smaller e-mails for y'all.
Saturday was rainy day, and by rain I mean tropical big fat rain. It freaking POURED like crazy on and off most of the day. I did manage to get a tour of the historical area by a local woman Maria who grew up here and just liked practising her English skills and having an ice cream.
Saturday night, the lovely Rebeca (who works at the hotel I was in) and I had a nice dinner. Her birthday was impending, I had the time, so we enjoyed a nice dinner at the Shrimp Bucket, complete with birthday cake. All in all, a very nice day and evening.
Today, Sunday, was all about the beach. The public access is just a block down the street from my hotel and it was ok. then later int he day when i came back to my hotel I noticed I could see the beach access through the lobby of the reallllllly nice hotel across the street. Sooo walking through the joint like I owned the place I went to their beach, enjoyed their beach chairs and enjoyed their friendly wait staff. Much nicer than the public access....I tipped well ;-)
Oh yeah and today while having lunch, some waiters caught a huge lizard, pretty cool.
