ktm 690 rtw

this is just a heads up on the base plan really.
if you are like me, and doing or thinking of doing a rtw, or just some travel. then I will share information ,all I can . this is my first time too.
I will try to be constructive in my righting , with as little of my duslexeia as poss lol.

ok, iv been planning a rtw solo, for over one year now.
why , im at an age , if I don't do it now, I never will.
iv been motorcycling since I was 12 much to the amusement of the police :) , now 48 and legal !.
Im lucky to have a strong back ground bike maintenance, off roading , in the past riding for the army on rotax 350, a very very strong bike ! !.
im 5ft6in, 29in leg,so short or as I like to say ,vertically challenged ! :) however, I am riding a bmw r1150 gs on road and off road successfully so far !

how ever after a year of research, I have decided to take the adventure with an adventure ! my first ktm ! iv rode the 1190, and its stunning !! what a bike :) .
but ! the 690 is 100kg lighter ! yes it will not eat up the miles anything like the bmw, but its lighter to lift, better on fuel, easer to move around and will be a better bike for river crossing and sand and mud . SO that is my defence !lol

as of the moment ,im planning the rout, as every time I plan, someone goes to war !!!.
im now looking in to the visa for Russia !!!!!!! :X

iv got 3 months now to finalise the rout, visas and cart du pass . so its getting tight.
I have looked at the weather

Russia and Alaska give around june, july and august , as these are for me the area's that are imperative to get right. but I still have more research to do, so don't shoot me down just yet ! :)

I will also explain the equipment I am using, including a low down after testing it.
this will include use, price, where I got it.
ok, ill be back ! :)
