Belgrade (Serbian: Београд, Beograd) — meaning 'White City' — is the capital of the Republic of Serbia. Various styles of architecture dominate the city while its recent resurgence as the leading hub in south-eastern Europe makes it a must-see destination. It is situated near the Sava and Danube Rivers. The Fortress sits on the white ridge above the confluence of the two rivers, rising above the city and protecting it.

I thought Belgrade was a great city to go and visit. There are lots of old buildings, monuments and statues from a long past and sometime volitile past

Lots of places to sit and dring coffee, have food or a good beer

I especially enjoyed walking around the Fortress with is free to visit. There are other attractions in the Fortress to see also, like a collection of weapons from numerous wars the Serbians have been involved in.

Well worth a stop off, glad I went
