NESS: Well, we are at Passau, about to travel into Austria after several big days of riding and no internet cafes. We spent the first night in Bailleul in a field with the blessings of a local who told us that no police would bother us and it was 'cool'.

Next day straight past my friend Carolina and Köln, a very futuristic looking city, I look forwards with hope to a visit on our return. Just heaps more of motorway miles on day two, nearly falling asleep and trying not to whinge (like a pomme!). Stopped near Koblenz just outside Frankfurt for our second night at a YHA stop; signed from the motorway. A lovely spot which was 16 Euros including shower tokens and we got to oggle at the MG club´s vehicles (my favourite are the Sprite frog eyes).

Walked the long way to the local and met Dieter, an excellent chap who has friends in Ireland and we had a few Prousts with him before crashing for another evening.

Another days driving and we're ready to chill and prepare ourselves for less motorway and more fun tomorrow in Autstria. No worries mates, will add more soon, all the best, Ness.
