Arrived at Pearson Airport, customs a bit on the heavy side but we made it through. Met and spoilt by Michael & Theresa (many thanks) and were great helps in getting the bike out of customs the next day (6 hrs). 17 miles into the RTW trip, police stop Del for having a British number plate !!! Mmmm maybe we're British! But all ended well. Left Toronto for Midland via the notorious Jane & Finch area!! We're still here! Then onto Collingwood to meet up with Mike & Christine who very kindly put us up for 2 days in their beautiful house (still got the dog hairs to prove it!) Were again spoilt rotten ( this adventure bikings a peice of cake eh!). Headed out to Tobermory but got sidetracked at Lookabout Bay which was soooo beautiful Lions Head too, we stayed 2 nights at the campsite everyone was so friendly and helpful (thanks to Joe, Carol, Hank and all) The site was fab; Lakeside Rainbow Park, check it out for yourselves. This camping larks ok too, Steph is a natural fire starter... not sure thats a good thing! Next day went to Tobermory only to miss the boat. Doh! Stayed at a great motel, Tobermory is a great place too, cherry ice creams brilliant! Next day caught the ferry, met up with a girl on a bike with a Jack Russell riding on the tank wearing goggles! How Cool is that! On to Manitoulin Island and stopped at a lovely site only to be bitten alive and have a crap nights sleep (noisy wildlife). By now the temperature has risen to well into the 30s' not ideal riding weather but still managed to push on to Blind River.. this town has probably the most useless Information Center and apart from the fish & chips you may as well just ride on through. Mischa has performed brilliantly so far carrying us and all our kit with no complaints and she's averaging 50 miles to the gallon at half the price of British fuel. At the moment we have got to Goulais River, just past Saulte Ste Marie, great camp site but we have been warned this is bear country along with moose, racoon and bug country!!!! Will we get through the night....
