Left Mt Isa very early. After the events at the Mt Isa pub the afternoon before Henk & Mike couldn't sleep anyway. Had to be very very careful of Roos early in the morning especially as they were riding E into the rising sun. Stopped at the Burke and Wills Roadhouse. Loads of history here and people very friendly. Saw 1st cloud for 2 weeks or more.
Called it a day at Croydon, a small town with 150 residents. The general store claims to be the 1st store in Oz. (In the middle of the outback?? Yeah right have another Tui fella). The pub is called Club Croydon and was a great place to stop. Its a real Drovers Pub. Henk & Mike felt like they were making a guest appearance on McLeods Daughters. The guest stars were shouted dinner and the whole pub was shouted a drink as one of the staff were leaving.
Saw Jackaroos and Jillaroos working horses and dogs on cattle.
