Its a sad sad day on the road. After being inseparable for 19 days, covering 10860 km together, riding through driving rain, frosts, twisters, bush fires and supporting each other as they came face to face with Aussie wildlife, the crew are now going separate ways. Henk has decided that enough is enough and separated from his old traveling companion ..............it will be for the best...............there were tears ...............but in the end the 17" Pirelli rear tyre that started the adventure in Sydney has now been discarded in favour of a new one.
The return trip to Katherine via Kakadu Nat Park was a great ride. Rode through more bush fires, went looking for Crocks, but they must have seen Henk coming because they couldn't get up close and personal with them.
Haven't seen a cloud in the sky for 10 days now. Very thirsty work and only seems polite to sample the local beverage. Have tried most Aussie beers now.
