Update

After we left Lincoln and all the beauty that surrounds it, we headed for Steve's step-brothers place in Nottingham. We stopped off along the way and got to their place at around 5pm. It was a lovely ride and nice to be in a family home with good home cooking, and we mean good! We spent the weekend with them and had some great bike rides with them on the Saturday around the Derbyshire downs, very nice roads and very popular bike roads.
After leaving them on Sunday we headed off to York and decided to stay for 2 nights as there would be too much to see in 1 afternoon. This was a good move. We saw the York Minster which was beautiful and did the tour after walking up Steep Hill which was very aptly named as it was soooo steep. We did the Tower tour which compared to Lincoln was poor to say the least. We also did a ghost tour which was a nice walk around town, though its so easy to get lost.
After leaving York on Tuesday we rode from York to Durham had a quick look around the cathedral and then headed off. Janet felt it was a long day and we weakened to stay in a hotel as it was getting late and we were really hungry.
Wednesday this week was spent riding along Hadrian's Wall. We stopped many times along the way to take photos which one day we will put up here.
Today (Thursday) we left Brampton (last nights campsite) and headed off towards Bonnie Scotland. The day started off well enough but deteriorated weather wise after lunch after a month here I guess we were due a day of rain, This cut short our ride and we pulled up stumps around 4 o'clock in a town in Scotland called Newton Stewart.
