Travelling with baggage
We all live and travel with baggage, some of it necessary and others, not quite so. Some is physical, some in the mind and some of it just nipping at our heals.
Many a traveller will advocate the joys of travelling light, and I do support this notion, but my medical condition deems that I need to make a lot of provision for my journeys.
As a type 1 diabetic, I need to ensure that I always have enough food and water to provide the energy and possible prolonged stay that any inconvenience will create. I also need to know that people are kind, the world is not dark and extreme goodness is to be found around every corner.
Call it 'extreme goodness'. I am going to use that phrase from now on because, the word extreme has been hijacked by unpleasant people. I really like the ideas of extremeistly kind people. Not sure that is a proper phrase, but I have invented it now and so it sticks.
I know a few people like this already, I have already written about them in my blogs. People who take being kind to an extreme degree. Just normal people, seeing a need and helping out, putting themselves out to make people back where they are heading. It is a really good human response and it helps us all to know we are humans on the right track.
So kindness in an extreme way is where we should be headed, I hope I can live up to that ideal. Generally speaking, I find myself lacking in acts of extreme kindness. I wish I could do better. I wish I could see where a little bit would create a lot of good. We are all on a journey!
So here I am, There isn't something special, just a desire to forget what is rammed into you by the media, and just go explore. Some of it will be very old school exploring. Some of it will be quite unique. I will love to find the difference.
The challenge is to deal with it all in a kind way. Theres the bench mark. Do-Go!
