Update

Arriving in L'viv was not good. Rain (the sort of fine, damp rain that seeps into every nook and cranny) and poor visibility was not what we wanted after a 9 hour stint in the saddle.
This town looks to be a bit of a conundrum. Some parts really nice with properly preserved and maintained buildings and some parts crap. This could not be better exemplified by the two hotels we approached. The first was gloomy, had a feeling of being almost totally empty and of a typical Soviet era 1 star hotel. The shouty receptionist told us the price for a room (a give away - always suspicious) and we went off to inspect the hovel. We were told that a key was not required and so we made our way up a creaky old lift to an empty corridor on floor 4 with our steps echoing off the moudly carpet and peeling paintwork. We found our room - locked. No key, nobody to open it and the atsmosphere of a soon to be condemned council estate. We did a runner.
The next hotel (all of 50 yards up the road) was warm welcoming and therefore our home for the next 2 nights.
Eating out was the usual thing and after the huge amount of riding we had done, the nightclubs had to manage without us that night.
We intend to rest our weary bones here today (maybe I can find the FA Cup final somewhere) and we will be off tomorrow. The weather forecast is not good for the next few days so we will try and spend less time riding.
