S02E10 - Zorkul Nature Reserve: Bogged in the middle of the Pamir's
Country
Country
We leave the Wakhan Corridor plains, finding the first Kyrgyz herders moving their livestock to the highlands of the Zorkul, an incredibly pristine place. We promised you it was going to get tougher… and it does as we get severely bogged down in the permafrost, multiple times! We abandon our attempt over the pass, meet some locals and return to the easy-driving Pamir Highway.
* Cover picture is from the remote Zorkul Nature Refuge in Tajikistan (4’250 msl - 37.454710, 73.890266), severely bogged because of the melting permafrost.
