PREPARING BIKE

The bike is looking fantastic- like new in fact. We spent 10 days in Mendoza getting the best mechanic in town to give her a service, change brake pads and check everything. We also got the best painter in town to give her a new paint job, we put on a new rear tyre and she is now ready to go for the next lucky travellers that buy her. Thanks to Sergio, a local businessman who happens to have a Super Tenere also and is now a great friend.

We then created, printed and distributed 100 posters around Mendoza, Santiago, Vina Del Mar and every town up to Salta in every hostel, hotel, internet cafe etc. Phew, what a job- selling real estate is easier than this!!! We have had a few people look at her, but no serious offers yet.

Today, we arrived back at Salta, Northern Argentina. We were here about 4 months ago and have since circumnavigated Wonderful Argentina. We have seen more of Argentina than most Argentinians!! We have really enjoyed this country and its people and would highly recommend travelling here to anyone, especially now that the prices are about 25% what they were a year ago.

Route 40 and the Andes Mountain Range have been our constant companions for the last few months. We have been through many deep valleys and gorges and seen many condors flying above us.

Tomorrow, we cross the Andes for the last time towards Northern Chile and a duty free port called Iquique, where we can legally sell the bike to a Chilean!!

This could be your last opportunity to get yourself a fantastic freedom machine at a bargain price- only US$3,100- discount to friends and family, of course!!

If for some strange reason we cannot sell her, we will store her in Argentina with Luis or Sergio and return next year and continue travelling on her. This is much to Belindas mother: Jills horror- ¨Havent you seen everything 6 times by now?¨
