Day 10
Country
Jason, one of the staff, drew us a map of the tracks behind the resort which would take us the scenic route out of there towards Fort Portal. As these tracks were not marked on our map it would’ve been tricky to find our way out that way. A little while later we hit a main-ish road which was probably the dustiest road I have ever ridden on. There was dust cloud every time a four wheeler passed us and we got covered in red. So many people in their Sunday bests out and about – on their way to church we guess. About 30 or so kms later we hit tarmac. Ron spotted a bike mechanic’s shop so we pulled in there and had my centre stand spring replaced. Cost? $2 supplied and fitted. From there we headed to Fort Portal and then turned east towards Kampala. Nothing much happened until we found another “resort” where again they let us camp in their grounds and opened up a room for us to use the shower etc. We sat watching weaver birds weave their nests in a tree by the restaurant and played cards for a while before hitting our sleeping bags.
