In 3D, heading away from the Mountains

Crazy Horse Memorial, carved out of a mountain in the Black Hills
of South Dakota. Only the face has been completed and that has taken 60 years,
it was started in 1948 and at the rate they are going will probably take another
100 years. The original sculptor is dead, his wife and 10 children carry on the work.
The carving is done with dynamite, it is absolutely Huge, Massive, BIG.

Straight after Crazy Horse I went to Mt. Rushmore which is nearby and it was an
anti-climax because all four heads are only as big as Crazy Horse’s head, still
very impressive and many more visitors

After that I rode to the Wounded Knee Massacre site where Native men, women
and children were killed by the army, it was sad because there is only a Rusty
Sign and a Mass grave compared to Custer’s Last Stand which is a National Park.
