10TH MAY JUST ONE MORE TOY

Today saw the team ride from Niems to San Maxine 289ks.
They all stayed at a youth hostel last night. A tyre was replaced on Henk and Pias bike and Colin and Frans bike had the head retorqued to attempt to stop an oil leak. This is the 2nd time now in a BMW shop and the guys are pretty impressed with the exceptional service given.

Update

Well, I haven’t been making timely entries. We left Italy and drove to Innsbruck, Austria, in the rain. It was cold but the Dolomites were beautiful.

Chile - Santiago & Valparaiso

After a perfect landing in Santiago Chile we find ourselves lined up to pay the reciprocity tax that Aussies are required to pay in reply to our own government's visa requirements for Chileans. This is all OK until we realise that there are about 300 people queued (2 other planes have landed before us) and only 2 people on the processing counter. After standing in a line for nearly three hours we have our visas, are stamped into the country and have collected our bags.

No, it's near our hotel outside of Vienna. We drove 300 miles in rain and cold, and this is the first thing we saw.

Our first stop in Vienna was Saint Stephan’s Cathedral. The stone pulpit is from the 16th century. The front of the cathedral had measuring devices used to measure bread and cloth. The coloring you see in the photo was a natural production of the stained glass windows.

We awake in a new country, Peru, a place we have dreamed of coming to for nearly 30 years. Our excitement is tempered by our tiredness, yesterday's border crossings, teamed with the rain and cold had been a bit of a marathon effort, for this reason we start the day slowly. We make breakfast in our room then go for a walk around the village of Chucuito. It is a lovely, sleepy little village and it's inhabitants are incredibly friendly.

Weg sind sie unsere Motorraeder. Aber ohne geht es auch nicht. Wir laufen alle Haendler ab, gehen die Zeitungen durch fragen bei Bekannten. Es ist zum Verzweifeln, es scheint fuer uns keine Motorraeder in Perth zu geben.
Bis wir Isabelle und Mike kennenlernen. Die Beiden verkaufen eine BMW R65 und eine BMW K 75. Nicht ganz gelaendegaenig aber in gutem Zustand. STRASSENMOTORRAEDER geht uns durch den Kopf. Sollen wir wirklich?
Der Deal steht und so brausen wir wenige Tage spaeter wieder auf Motorraedern durch Perth.

26. Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ann Arbor

Toronto or Trono as the locals say, Niagara Falls lots of water and Ann Arbor
University Town. Time to catch up with Family and Friends.

Rode from Chicago to Toronto via Port Huron, uneventful border crossing, got
stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway for 2 hours just out of Toronto, very warm.

Iguacu to San Rafael
