Even though this is not strictly the 66 route no trip this part of Arizona would be complete without a trip to the grand canyon.High winds that have been causing sand storms in this area batter us for the 54 miles to the canyon park entrance.

There is not much to say about this incredible place that hasn't already been said so I will just say that if you spare the time DO IT.

On your way back down to highway 40 you will pass Valle after about 30 miles and if you are a plane buff like me you should go into the Planes fo Fame museum to see their amazing collection of still flying old prop planes.

The last stop for the night takes us to the quirky Seligman.
