Beautiful Copenhagen

NOT easy to get a full nights sleep, when you know your adventure is about to start. The view from our bedroom window at 5.00 am showed a mirror like surface on fjord, blue sky and sunny. What a perfect day for the 400 km trip from the island of Mors to Copenhagen.
At the ferry terminal in Aarhus, about 8 motorcycles were waiting to board the ship for the trip to the island of Sjaelland. I got talking to an elderly gentleman on a Nimbus with sidecar, probably from around 1950 and manufactured in Denmark. Egon was attending the annual Nimbus gathering. Interesting to see what a big attraction this vintage motorcycle was - and very little interest in the other newer bikes!
Arriving in Copenhagen late afternoon, I managed to get a 5 minute “meeting” with my son at his apartment, before he was on his way to Romania. Then on to my daughter and son in law, where we had a wonderful time at their flat in central Copenhagen. My daughter handed me a beautiful “mascot” for the trip, which she had knitted for me - a delightful rhino, which was promptly named Hector!
Tomorrow morning I will be heading for Germany and Munich.
