13. & 14.08. Worthing - Torquay
Country

After a nice breakfast in our garden shed, we embarked for the next part of our journey. The first adventure was to get the bike on the road: we had had to park it in our host‘s garden which included two big steps. Getting in there could be considered my first attempt at trial riding and getting the bike out meant the same but backwards, since there was no space to turn. But everything went better than expected and soon we were on the road again.

The day before, we had had breakfast in the Mocha Café in Hastings and the owner overheard that we were motorcyclists and told us about plenty of things that we should visit. Out of all these we picked durdle door for a stop.

What a great advice. We arrived there and walked down to the beautiful rock formation in full bike gear. When we arrived we found out that there is a beautiful beach as well and for the first time during our trip, the sun was blazing. So we hiked back up to the bike, quickly changed into bathing closes and walked down to the beach. Fantastic swim, wonderful scenery and some serious holiday vibes.

2 hours later we returned to the bike and we went on to Torquay.

In Torquay we had rainy days, but we still stayed for two nights and went to Ashburton to see Dartmoor. For the trip we used railway and buses which was an entire adventure in its own. But the moor was wonderful with the clouds and the rain and we found a very old fashioned tea room for afternoon tea.

In the evening we decided for a rainproof activity and went to see the new Tarantino film.

We had been looking forward a lot to our next stop: Portcurno.
