24.08. London - Dover
Country

There was no denying that our trip was coming to an end, but we still had a couple of nice things on the agenda. On our last morning in London we loaded the bike before breakfast and rode to the bikeshed mc. We had discovered the place during one of our walks through the city and it‘s a bikeshop/café/bar/garage hipster place, that immediately attracted us. One of the nice things about it is, that you can ride into the place, past the people sitting there. So there‘s always something to see and a very relaxed atmosphere. It also is an actual motorcycle club and they organize events and rides. We settled down for breakfast and I enjoyed some fantastic huevos rancheros.

From there we set out to Dover which is a rather short ride. Therefore we still had time to hit the beach and go for a last swim. We went to Samphire Hoe and walked along the cliffs until we found the beach. Not the greatest beach for swimming but on our last day on the Island we weren‘t complaining.

In the evening we had one more tourist box to check: we hadn‘t tried jerk chicken so far and found out that there‘s a good place for that in Dover. If you‘re staying for the night, grab some dinner at Jerk ´n tingz. We also found a bar, where apparently everyone who has swum through the channel is allowed to sign on the wall. Very surprising how many people do that each year.

After some pints it was time for bed since we planned on catching the early boat.
