All the planning (such as it is) is done. The bike is prepped (thanks to Andy at Border Bikes: www.borderbikes.com), Oko tyre sealant in the tyres, routes in the satnav, bags packed (wonder what I have forgotten?), Finnish fishing licence purchased -- all there is to do is to mount the boxes on the bike, strap on the roll-bag and get going.  I get the ferry from Newcastle to IJmuiden this evening and then a bash across the Netherlands and a bit of Germany to my next ferry crossing, Travemunde to Helsinki. And here I am, at 2 a.m., downloading maps of Finland and Norway onto my mobile as back-up for the satnav. So much for planning :-P

Think I better try to get a bit of sleep.
