0) Did I get a bike to Portugal ?
=> Yes it is there. Parked in Albufeira. I will take some trips down by air. And enjoy MC driving in Portugal, during Swedish winter. Job done.
1) What about the test of myself and my equipment? Can live "on the road" alone ? For some "longer" time ?
=> Worked out well. I was driving several long days. Living in tent. And on "easy" food, mixed with resturant some evenings. I could do it much more easy when it comes to accomondation and eating. But that is an option for the feature.
When it comes to testing riding gear, bike and equipment: I will write a separate story about that.
2) Did I escape from something ?
=> Yes. I got away from the daily struggels. Loaded the batteries. And feel much better.
3) Did I experience something ?
=> Yes. I exposed myself and experienced things. Car museum in Mulhouse was fantastic. Coffe at a local Franch café in a small village is always a pleasure. The coast of Spain and Portugal was fine. I could visit santiago de Compostela and....
4) Was this a really great ride ?
It was great. But not that great. I used on purpose Denmark and Germany for transport. I had Santigao de Compostela and Albufiera as goals. And I did not spend time on research that many things on the way. I was just driving with an open mind and let things pop up. I avoided Switzerland, for reasons mentioned earlier. The way from Germany to France through Switzerland is really great. More road work than expected in Germany. And south of france was not so spectacular as Loire is.
So overall. A nice journey. But not one of the greatest journeys of the world. I look forward to driving in Portugal. And to use Portugal as a base in the future. To travel to Spain, Greece, Croatsia. When the weather in Sweden is to bad for driving.
