Day 7
Country
To Santander in Spain.
First thing I see in the morning is my smashed chair. A car has hitted it while using my camp space for turning around. Thank Good that it was only the chair, and not the tent, bike or other equipment.
Early morning. Full mone in the sky.....
The trip started on smalll roads in heavy frog. I did not use highway in France. But the alternative was small towns, traffic lights, speed bumbs ans traffic. Not good at all.
Spain started with a part of Autopista. I understood the toll system wrong, and created some problems. But I will know better next time.
After that. Nice twisty roads in beautiful environment into Basque. Once upon a time there was a general Franco in Madrid, ETA in Basque and a young man in Sweden. Different times.
Autovia to Santander. Nice road in nice environment. Close to the sea.
In the morning I was a bit sad. In the worst traffic, I was some stressed. But during the last hours of driving, I went into relaxed mood. I enjoyed the evening by the ocean.
After one week alone on the road, I start to get into travelling mode. Things are not urgent anymore. I do not press to get going. Things have their dedicated place, both on the bike and at the camping. Routines for mornings are set. Coffee and packing. It takes time, but I have routines.
Weather forecast is rain before lunch. So I plan for an easy day.
