May 2 Mervent F - Biarritz F 480 km
Had another motorway day to make up some time. Fantastic roads, very predictable drivers, easy fuel and food stops, still see a lot of the countryside. Met a Kiwi at one of the fuel stops who was riding a VFR 800. Was living in UK but found it much cheaper to live in France. He loves the food the people and the lifestyle. So far we have found the same. The French have been v friendly the food and wine fantastic. Stayed with the Gallos nr Biarritz. Gallos are old family friends of the Jacksons. Christine took us to the chateau in the village. As we were walking around the Marquis saw us and invited us in. The Chateau was built in the early 1600s.
