Only 72ks traveled today, the weather is slightly better. Henk and Pia are back in Budapest for the day and Colin and Fran rode to a monument park, a site where monuments from the communists regime have been accumalated to tell the stories of the past. some of the key monuments are replicas as the originals were destroyed by the crowds in the political uprising in 1989. Also watched original films used to train the secret police! Colin and Fran found Henk and Pia accomadation, checked in then met up with them in budapest. They had an interesting evening with a young Hungrian who is a very free thinker but believes Hungary was better off under Communists rule, mainly because a lot of Hungerian people dont seem to have embraced the oppotunities capitalisum offers.
