Today the ride took the team from Budapest to Prauge Czech, 548 kls
The weather now looks to be improving. Had only a little rain but kept the dry suits on because of the cold. Rode out of Hungary across Slovakia and into Czech Republic. Slovakia looks grim. The people look sad and the place looks dirty and tatty. There is no modern construction and the roads are poorly maintained. Czeck on the other hand seemed much more progressive. Prague is a beautiful city, good infrastucture, happy people. Boarder posts between E. U countrys are all empty buildings that the guys just slow down to go through without stopping but they do define where the subtile differances between countries start and stop. Its especially intriguing to see the differance between Czech and Slovakia only seventeen years ago they were one country!
