I rode across the Top of the World Highway and once again was greeted by miserable weather. As I approached the Alaskan coast the weather improved and I found the beauty of Alaska.
The Top of the World Highway was another one of those much talked about roads that I greatly anticipated. It is a dirt road but not that difficult at slow speeds. I imagine there are some spectacular views, but I didn't get to see them. It was a slow, wet, foggy and cold ride to Chicken, Alaska.

For a tiny town, Chicken is kind of fun and they have free wifi internet at the restaurant. A really funky bar and free camping. I would have liked to stay and hang out at the bar but I needed to cover more ground.

I reached passed through Tok and headed for the coast.



The biggest problem with Alaska in summer besides the rain is the every present road construction.
