So the planning and prep is almost done - now the fun can startIt started when a friend of mine decided he was going to take a year off work and move to Peru with his wife and daughter - Jeff was going to ride down while his family flew so I sort of invited myself to tag along and unfortunately for him he couldn't think of an excuse/reason fast enough for me not to tag along so now the poor bugger is stuck with me for 2.5 months at least he will get some breaks - since his dad - Alfred -is going to make the trip as well.
So as of Sept 11 2015 I am parking the HD - for the winter and moving to
a Kawi KLR 650 with low mileage

that I picked up last spring and spent the last 6 months or so getting ready - new heavy duty spring; Corbin seat; heated grips, new tires, chain and sprockets and some additional 12 volt outlets - oh and I bought a dewalt toolbox because I thought it would make a good top box and Jeff and Alfred made it work - who knows we may have come up with a whole new product line for dewalt:)
Here are the bikes - Kawasaki 08 KLR650 - Kawasaki 07 Versys 650 - 04 Suzuki Vstrom.

Jeff decided I may need extra storage and a spare bike in case the KLR breaks down - when we all know it is going to be the VStrom that is going to be the issue!
