When I first though up the idea of riding down to Patagonia I had never owned a motorcycle. So my first step was to go out and buy a bike. After reading countless reviews I came down to two possible bikes. First the bike was the KTM 1190 R but I decided to get the BMW 1150 Adventure. However this bike was way out of my price range. As a result I ended up having to refinance my car. But in the end it was worth it. Despite a coupe of repairs over the years, the beast is running well and hopefully I have her for another 10 years. Despite the high price of the BMW I feel that the quality makes up for it. I have put nearly 50,000 mile on and she still runs like new. Until next time.
