Glacier National Park

Of all the places that I have been, Glacier National Park is one of the most special. Like Yellowstone, there is enough infrastructure for people of various levels of adventure to enjoy themselves. While I love to ride my bike to exotic destinations I do enjoy a nice chair and bed. Glacier has all of that with an incredible view. It has been a long time sine I have traveled to Glacier. Things are now quite different. Last time I went visitors centers were no more than small huts with a ranger inside and maybe a few maps if you were lucky. Now the visitor center is massive with more than a dozen tv's screening youtube films about the park.

I was particularly impressed with the services they now had for those facing disabilities. One of the best examples of this was with the videos being shown. They had closed captioning services for those with limited hearing but they also had a separate version with only audio for those with limited vision. I was cool to see how people were interacting with this technology. They also had special tours for those who could not easily travel on foot throughout the park. It was amazing!

Although we left last week it was an incredible trip. But once again it is time to head south. The air is beginning to get cooler and the nights fridged. As we head south I will never forget the amazing Glacier National Park.
