Romania has been fantastic so far. Some amazing roads - with plenty of potholes - and some interesting towns. The ride up to Bucovina was great.

Then the ride around some of the painted monasteries.

Headed to Moldova today the border crossing was relatively straightforward, after getting border insurance for the bikes. UK insurance companies opt out of all the countries they can from the green card system. After leaving the border we found the limits of using Google maps, the bikes and us. Moldovan roads are bad, even the motorway looks like it's been bombed recently. Google maps keeps trying to send is down rutted gravel tracks and we don't have the bikes (or riders) for that. Long detours in the 40 C heat are tiring to say the least.
