We meet Stoppie the Ace mechanic with Marina, Julia and Sergie. Plus Marsha,Ted and Victor.After our disaster the previous day we still have 300km to the next town which is Novosibirsk. The plan is to ride slowly and carefully to the outskirts and find a motorcycle repair guy.

On the outskirts we get to the airport hotel where they have WiFi and the lovely receptionists Marina and Julia offer to help.
We are taken under the wing of these lovely people.
Soon a motorcycle turns up and off jumps Andrie "Stoppie"

It is evening now and getting dark so he suggests that we pop over to his workshop in the morning.
The next day, we get there and Julia is there to be our interpreter.
The kettle is on, tea and cakes are served and Andrei and Sergei have my bike stripped.

It is not good news.

The crown-wheel is in two parts instead of one. We need a new one and so we ring James Sherlock in England to search out one that will get us to Vancouver.
Meanwhile we set out with Julia and Andrei to find bearings and seals.

James Sherlock has a part! He gets UPS to send it to Novosibirsk in order to rescue us.

The parts take a week at least to arrive and so we find ourselves clicking our heels in Russia's third largest city in a smart hotel.
