I have set up a sponsorship page for Portsmouth Samaritans for a very special project called Night Owls

On average someone makes contact with Samaritans every five seconds, but most of the calls are at night. Night Owls volunteer for night time shifts and really can save lives. This project will train and support more Night Owls to support more people in distress during the night and early morning.

There are about 80 active volunteers at Portsmouth Samaritans and they talk to over 20,000 people a year. Sometimes by phone, or email, SMS and face to face.
They go out to schools, A&E, colleges, Uni and train stations. If you feel that you would like to help the NIGHT OWLS project it would spur Sharyn and myself on round the world.
