Update
The next morning, i had a lie in. Set up my campsite a bit better, Had a lesson on how to use my sat nav, easy when you no how! thanks Ian and new arrival Barry, very helpfull.
Later on folks arrive members of West Norfolk M.A.G.. Denise, Val, and Fred (sic bag) left them to get sorted out and walked into the village with Rocket to do some shopping and had a drink outside the local cafe. The weather was starting to improve, but still the odd shower. Back to Route66 a few drinks and some lovely grub cooked by the lovely Elaine. More wine good night in the bar to bed a bit tipsy.
Next day went ror a ride out to Oradour-Sur-Glave. A village which has been left as it was after German troops shot every one in the village. I am going to write a bit more about this near the end of my trip.
Back to the site a nap then food etc and early night. Before i get into bed i sit out star gazing, as there is hardly any light pollution you get a good view, the milky way was really bright and clear.
Nekt morning up early decided to get stuff sorted ready for rde to Macon to meet Mick and Dave (shim whittlers uk) lovely sunshine went out for a ride. Back for a meal and a early nite.
Slept really well, but awoken by the dreaded sound of rain bouncing off the tent, so back to sleep for a while longer. Up at nine ish cuppa, moved bike under cover and started to load up and strike camp. Tent had to be packed away wet. Rocket was not to happy just sulked and stared dog claws at me.
Ready to go, a bit of thunder to go with the rain, The wonderfull Elaine packed me up a small pic-nic very good of her, not a big deal perhaps but i thought it was nice! Thanks love.
Set off in drizzle te weather started to improve as we rde along. The sat-navsent me some strange ways but i kept my trust in it.
Stopped in a lay bye for my pic-nic, while Rocket checked out some French people whom had stopped for lunch. While i was there a old chap riding a BM Brick outfit stopped to make sure all was well, he was off to some alpine rally, very good of him, to stop and ask, proper old biker.
back on route once more, Most Frence Bikers greet you with a outstreched arm and a V for Victory sign, and when overtaking you the right leg is stuck out in greeting, during my time over here i have found most Bikers give you some sort of wave this includes to date Police in France&Austria.
The BM isd also doing ok for fuel taking into account how well loaded she is, and we are getting on when we can she will sit at 80 no trouble on the motorways. Finally i arrive at the junction where i am to meet Mick&Dave, only to find all the motels are fully booked as its a holiday weekend in France!!!!!T.B.C.
Writing this at a campsite near Salzburg Austria, while outside it pouring real heavy rain and anice bit of thunder tossed in.
Nite Nite
