THE RALLY SITE

The rally was being held close to a village called "ISSOGNE" about 15 Kms from Aosta in the Italian Alps. to be held over 3 days. A track from the main road leads you up to the site. As you enter the site there is a parking lot to one side with a small camping area to the left. The entrance takes you to a bridge over a dry river bank and into the main area which contains a few small bars a Restaurant with tables and the kitchen is powered by a large wood fire, the wood for this is from a Saw mill in the village. A large building with another bar and a stage for the music and dancing. Toilets a shower block all with hot running water, very good.
The club running the event are called the "CASTAGNETI BIKERS" a friendly bunch of guys and gals. We did find a few people who spoke good English. There was no entry fee, you had to change your Euro's for plastic dollar's and pay for your food and drinks with them. There was a stall selling all sorts of biker gear and a Tyre company had a stall with a few bikes on show. A very well laid out compact site.Behind the site and into the woods a path leads you to a waterfall which runs into a man made water storage pool. Rocket enjoyed this as he could have a swim and keep cool.
