Update
We rode up the track until it turned to just stone and was a bit to rough for the road bikes. Time out for more photo's, to our front we could see Mount-Blance the highest mountain in Europe. The tops were still covered in a fair amount of snow which was slowly melting on the lower slopes. All done it was time to head back to the village to buy some post-cards and small gifts.
The ride back to Bourg St Maurice was to be one of those magic motorcycling moments. Bend followed bend, some could be taken using all of the road going fairly quick, while others needed first gear and a eye out for lumps and bumps. For me i found it was easier going down, the BM exhaust popping on the over run, bringing a smile to my face. At times we would come to a bit of a straight, opening the throttle the front wheel trying to lift sky wards. the roar of the motor and the wind pulling my cheeks while i just became one happy biker, then to the next set of tight first gear bends, blipping the throttle on every change braking at the last moment sometimes the tyres giving a squeal as the brake pads took a grip. These are truly biking roads to savour and remember for the rest of your life.
Back to camp and it was time for a fresh brew of tea and just watch the world of campers pass by and enjoy.
