Shopping

The following morning after a good nights sleep some breakfast and cups of tea, we started the bm up and headed out to do some food shopping and sight seeing. Our first stop was the village of Issogne. A small village with a few market stalls selling fruit and veg, a mobile fish and meat stall and a corner shop. There was also some kind of church which was full of tourist's looking around. We then rode off to the Town of Verres found a supermarket and done some food and wine shopping. After which we rode around the local area just enjoying the fine weather and exploring some fantastic small roads which zig zagged up to the hills, giving some good views. Riding down one of these roads i stopped in a small village for a spot of lunch at "Bar Angie" a small Cantina. Once inside the bar i first made sure that Rocket was allowed in, once again no problem. No English spoken, so i just ordered a small beer and the "Menu" which was a set 3/4 course meal with a glass of wine and bread included. The meal was very good, Rice, a meat dish with mash, cold meat, and cheese to finish all washed down with a glass of local Grappa, smashing. The cost was 10 euros, well worth it. After lunch we took another ride around the area, stopping off for a coffee before heading back to our home. Once back to the tent i started to work on my suntan which was starting to come along, while Rocket caught up with some sleep once more. The noise coming up from the village, dogs church bell every half hour, the wood mill and of course midges all added to the experience. That evening was spent enjoying a few drinks with a few club members, then back to the tent and bed. During the night we had a bit of rain thunder and lighting all very frighting, but it was soon over.
