As we got near to Le Mans the rain was on and off, the wind got stronger and stronger. Got mislaid in Le Mans dam sat nav, so I just found my way to the new motorway and headed for Poiters.
Rain wind more rain, a bikers nightmare, down to 30MPH hazards on in places. Scary in places high bridges(Fergus close your eyes) . A lot of cross winds in open places as newly planted trees have yet to grow.
Arrived Route 66 Hotel set up camp etc, went for beer, then food. Met up with Donald ex Scot now living in England, a young Dutch lad who name escapes me. Later two boyos from Belfast, Dad John and Son Ian arrive, they also had a bad time with the weather. Good crack in the bar till late. Slept really well.
