HI: The last word on Acapulco is that it is noisy and crowded. We had a great hotel room, until night fell. Then the club across the street opened. The noise was so bad they had to move us. Ear plugs were useless. It went on until 4am. There is no comparison that one can make to the noise that was coming from the club. It literally shook the 22 story hotel.
The traffic, bumper to bumper, in the morning coming into Acapulco was 9 miles long on a two way street. They acknowledged that their streets are not up to par.
We then went on to Zihuantanejo. What a great place. The beach was clean, sand nice, hotel was great with a spectacular view. QUIET and romantic, too. We had a view of the ocean. In fact, we were on the ocean. The swimming pool was huge. We had a great meal overlooking the bay. The hotel was 8 floors terraced on a mountain side. It had its own beach and spa. Massages were $30 US for an hour. A view from our room.

We are now in Manzanillo, however, we want to be in Zihuantanejo. No comparison. We did see a children's parade with Mickey and Minnie.
April 26, 2008, we are moving on to Puerto Vallarta. Very active place. Lots of tourist.

And, this was neat-The Last Supper.

In the last 3 days, I have been stopped by the military about 8 times. They love the motorcycle. The road (200 MX) has been a real challenge in the mountains and along the coast. Curve after curve with a speed limit of 40 to 60 kmh (25 to 40 mph). However, the ocean view is incredible. Probably similar to the Pacific Coast Highway, except very sharp and slow curves. Only two lanes and frequently with big trucks.
The speed would not be so bad, however, the topes in every little town make you come to a complete stop. Each little town hosts at least 3 topes at each village. There must be a village every 2-3 miles, at least.
